Daniella Marchetti
ABOUT
Daniella Marchetti obtained two master’s degrees and her PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Miami within the Health Psychology concentration, with several awards of academic merit. She completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral residency at the Miami Veterans Affairs Medical Center where she currently works as Clinical Psychologist on the Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program team. She provides psychotherapy assessment services, conducts research, and supervises and trains psychology interns and residents.
As a Health Psychologist, she helps patients with complex psychiatric and medical presentations. With over 10 years of graduate training, she has developed competencies to help patients change their health behaviors in a variety of areas, from weight management and chronic pain to helping families adjust to chronic illness diagnoses like cancer or diabetes. Over the years she has co-authored over 30 presentations at national and international research conferences and been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including The Journal of Clinical Psychology in Medical Settings, Pediatric Diabetes, Clinical Practice in Pediatric Psychology, and the Journal of Health Education Teaching. She has published several chapters, with her most recent publication being in the APA Handbook of Health Psychology. Currently, she is the CBT-I provider for a clinical trial that is being submitted to the NIH by the Cancer Institute at Rutgers University, investigating the difference between CBT-I and Tai Chi for insomnia.
