Lisa is an award-winning journalist, a survivor of domestic abuse, and an overly-honest mid-life woman in search of adventures she had been missing for years. Since leaving her abusive marriage, she found that her relationship with fear and discomfort, coupled with her desire to test her physical limits, her endurance and her resilience, is complicated. And it’s not unlike what others experience, whether they’re weekend warriors, corporate climbers or full-time, NatGeo-style adventurers.

As a journalist and creative copywriter, Lisa’s entire professional career as a storyteller has propelled her to this doorstep, where she puts her lived experience and perspectives to good use for others.

By day, Lisa provides editorial and marketing copywriting services to a variety of clients, and when not working she’s carpooling kids, rock climbing, snuggling one or all of her four dogs, checking on her chickens, hiking, paddleboarding, or planning an upcoming outdoor adventure for the people she loves the most.
