The PUBLICIST

Amanda began her career in the publicity and communications realm. From grassroot campaigns to Fortune 500 companies, her strategic mindset and creative eye paved the way for brands to gain a cult following through meaningful, disruptive content and authentic consumer relationships.

Her work has been featured in outlets such as The New York Times, BARRONS, bon appetit, apartment therapy, CondeNast Traveler, Food & Wine, Martha Stewart Living, BRIDES, Martha Stewart Weddings, SAVEUR, Sunset Magazine, and many state/local publications.

Today, she takes pride in developing personal, highly collaborative relationships with authors through her boutique firm, Flatiron Book Publicity. Amanda works with her clients’ strengths to customize smart, strategic promotional campaigns using traditional book publicity with digital and platform development to drive book sales, increase client’s fan bases, and create new opportunities for brand growth.

The aUTHOR

Amanda’s passion for writing and her love for hosting Instagram-worthy dinner parties led her to write her first nonfiction book, The Modern Bohemian Table.

During the process of launching the book, Amanda experienced how lonely of journey it is for an author to navigate the publishing world. She quickly realized that she was on her own when it came to promoting and getting her book on as many book shelves as possible. During this eye opening experience, she decided she was going to become a literary agent herself and challenge the status quo by doing things differently in hopes that no author she represented ever felt how she did.

Amanda Bernardi is a Texas native who now calls Colorado home. A lifelong lover of books, she developed a passion for reading and writing at an early age. A creative at heart, she grew up as a competitive dancer and classical pianist, finding joy in crafting, antique malls, and charming bookstores.

Amanda is a proud Aggie, earning her BA in Creative Writing from Texas A&M University. During her time at A&M, she was a reporter for The Battalion, co-founder of a literary magazine, a student government chair, and an active member of Alpha Chi Omega. She continued her education with graduate studies in Social Science at the University of Colorado and earned a Graduate Certificate in Editing from the University of California, Berkeley.

Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish a successful prop rental company, providing unique pieces for photo shoots, events, and home stagings. She also worked as a prop stylist for editorial and book projects while selling vintage finds and handmade goods at local markets.

When she's not fighting the patriarchy while twirling her hair or getting lost in the latest book on her shelf, Amanda is off on adventures with her husband and their three children, embracing the beauty and creativity in everyday life.
