Christina Tortolani
ABOUT
Christina Tortolani, PhD, is an Associate Professor at Rhode Island College and Adjunct Professor at Brown Medical School. She received her M.A. from Boston College and a Ph.D. from Northeastern University. After her pre-doctoral internship at Dartmouth Medical School, she trained as a postdoctoral fellow at the Providence Veteran’s Administration, Brown Medical School. A Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Certified Family-Based Therapist, Dr. Tortolani has worked with children, adolescents, and adults with eating disorders utilizing evidence-based treatment models. She is a Staff Psychologist at Hasbro Children’s Hospital and participates in the training of interns, residents, and fellows in psychology and psychiatry. Dr.Tortolani’s research has been funded at the state and federal levels, including by the National Institutes of Health. She regularly provides consultation, training, and program development within the community and is published in the field of eating disorders, including an edited book.
