Julie LaPlaca has worked in the entertainment industry for over 20 years. Spanning 21 seasons, she worked her way up from Segment Producer to Supervising Producer for the popular ABC series The Bachelor/The Bachelorette. For her final two years, she was the main producer for the leads of the various series, guiding America’s favorites through their entire journeys to find love.

Previous to working with the casts, LaPlaca spent years on the creative side, coming up with the date ideas, scouting and picking locations to film and planning the ins and outs of all the creative for the series.

She attended college in New York City at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and immediately took advantage of all the opportunities New York had to offer. She got her start while in school, working for MTV, various award shows, and live events. After college she moved to Los Angeles and landed a job on the Emmy Award winning talk show, The Doctors. Craving a desire to explore the world, she ultimately left The Doctors with the goal to work on a show that would give her exactly that opportunity, The Bachelor.

Her interest in human behavior and emotions led her to spend years interviewing people from all walks of life about love, heartache, joys, desires and hurt. Realizing that she had been neglecting her own love and desires, she ultimately decided to leave what many would consider a dream job, and found herself embarking on her own spiritual journey to find love. LaPlaca is now a certified Life Coach, Hypnotherapist, and Reiki Practitioner. Combining her new found skill sets with that of being a producer, she is passionate about helping others to strengthen their own sense of self-love in order to have a fulfilling and prosperous life.
