Katy Sprinkel Morreau
ABOUT
Katy Sprinkel Morreau is a writer, editor, and designer who has spent her entire career in book publishing—first as a literary agent (where one crowning achievement was valiantly rescuing THE LAST DUEL from the slush pile), then as managing editor of Scribner Books, and finally as an editor at Triumph Books/Random House before becoming a full-time freelancer. She is the author of 13 biographies for young readers, profiling stylish celebs from Elizabeth Taylor to Taylor Swift, and at last count has more than one million books in print. She is also a main contributor to Phaidon’s The Christmas Book (2023). A lifelong lover of retro fashion, she’s a clothing dealer with a brick-and mortar shop, Left of the Dial Vintage, specializing in women’s and men’s apparel from the 1960s to 1990s, and an Etsy shop, Rumpus Room, which focuses on vintage children’s clothing. An avid DIYer, she has spent many a crafternoon fiddling with fashion. She lives in Madison, Wisconsin, with her husband, nine-year-old fashionista daughter, and two cats.
