Liz Shulman
ABOUT
Liz Shulman is a writer who has published in national newspapers and magazines all over the country, while teaching high school English at the largest public school in the US.
Liz’s work has appeared in Slate Magazine, The Boston Globe, The Chicago Tribune, Litbreak Magazine, Los Angeles Review, Punctuate: A Nonfiction Magazine, The Smart Set, Tablet Magazine, Witness Magazine, among others.
Liz is a student favorite and a mentor to new teachers. She teaches future teachers at Northwestern University’s School of Education and Social Policy, and is the recipient of several grants for teachers from the National Endowment of the Humanities. Liz is a regular guest on WGN’s radio with the venerated John Williams. She lives in Chicago.
