Lauren Gambill, M.D., MPA, FAAP, is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics and courtesy assistant professor in the Department of Population Health. She is also a pediatric hospitalist at Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas.

Lauren attended medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, completed pediatrics residency at Dell Medical School and obtained her Master of Public Affairs at the University of California Berkeley Goldman School of Public Policy.

Lauren is passionate about advocacy, policy and equity in health care. She holds several local, state and national leadership positions including assistant program director for the Academic Pediatric Association Health Policy Scholars Program. She is a faculty fellow of The University of Texas at Austin LBJ School of Public Affairs Center for Health and Social Policy. She is on the executive board of the Texas Pediatric Society, serves on several TPS committees and is the co-director of the Texas Pediatric Society TEACH (Texas Educators in Advocacy and Community Health) Collaborative.
